Wow buddy, thank you for that. I’ll respond to your argument point by point like a reasonable human being. My first big rebuttal is that yes, I actually am a mathematician, so thanks for assuming the worst. Moreover I’ll demonstrate that you were being way more disrespectful than you needed to be.

First you argue that google isn’t a reasonable tool for actual research. Well, in the research that I find myself doing every day, google *is* a reasonable tool for finding papers in the literature because if a paper exists in any form on any archive online (e.g., Elsevier, MathSciNet, arXiv to name the obvious ones), it *will* turn up in a google search. Moreover, google is great at finding keywords within a paper rather than just the title or author’s name. This is something that the websites with the actual papers in them often have more difficulty with than google itself.

Next, if you’re assuming I don’t know math then why would you try to use quantum mechanics concepts to help me understand? It seems obvious that actually, you were just flexing your knowledge of science facts and telling me to go play in the corner with the other kiddies, so thanks. Your paragraph where you individually define all the words I said were nonsense was awful in exactly the same way, but I actually found it even more insulting because you clearly don’t even know what a subset is because you suggest there can elements of a set which aren’t in any subset. Also you got the definition of continuous wrong. The problem I had with this part was that functions are continuous, not sets. This is calculus 1 stuff.

But more broadly, you just sort of assumed that I meant all the individual words were nonsense, which like, no. The problem is none of them goes with any other one. Sets cannot be continuous, and programs do not form a space that anyone has ever defined.

Anyway, if you actually read my argument in full, my point was that he was using math words in a way that can only possibly be meant to hype up nerds and business-types who don’t actually know math. Thanks for proving my point by getting hyped up.
